One on One class with Tinge Floral

Last summer I had the privilege of taking a one on one class with Ashley of Tinge Floral.  She has been someone that I had looked up to, and her designs were something I wanted to learn more about.  Ashley does the most amazing bouquets of anyone out there!  I knew I needed to learn a thing or two about her process.

She was so warm, and has such an amazing way of teaching.  I can't believe how well she gets her thought process out into words.  So many AWE HAW moments.  I learned so much, and will always treasure our friendship.

I would highly recommend investing in some sort of workshop or class.  Find someone that you admire, and want to learn from, and then reach out.  The investment will come back 10 fold.

Painted Desert Shoot with Brushfire

Last summer I knew I wanted to do a shoot that was indigenous to the deserts of Arizona.  I emailed Mike from Brushfire at like 2:30 in the morning.  He emailed back right away, and was so excited.  We set everything up in a few weeks, and then took the 5 hour drive to the gorgeous Painted Desert.  Mike really captured the earth and raw natural feel of the landscape.

It was such a simple shoot, but it is probably one of my most favorites to date!

The landscape was breathtaking.

Polnick Fountain Hills Wedding

Chelsey and her husband are all the way from CANADA!!!!  They fell in love with the Arizona deserts, and knew they wanted to share their special day here.  They chose a resort in Fountain Hills with a gorgeous view of the Arizona mountains and desert.  Chelsey really wanted to capture the colors of the sunset.  We worked together to curate her desert themed wedding.

We chose the native agave plant with large blooms as accents.  They got married in May, and it was PRIME time for coral charm peonies.  The peonies golden centers went perfectly with the whole wedding.  We used native cactus in small terracotta pots.

For her Ceremony backdrop I wanted to keep it really simple and wispy.   I didn't want to take away from the beautiful view.  We used simple greenery and white peony blooms and wired them into the tree that they would stand in front.

Chelsey is TINY!  So I made her bouquet to suit her, it was perfect. Her bouquet smelled AMAZING!!!  We did a simple succulent hair piece, and it turned out so well.  Every arrangement in her bridal party was perfect and cohesive with her event.

Doing weddings like this make me LOVE my job.  Getting to know the couple and their style, and then bringing their vision to life is the very BEST part of my job.  Well and working with stunning blooms.

Tom and Monica's Sedona Wedding

Monica and Tom were such an amazing couple to work with.  They live in Colorado, but love Arizona.  They put their personality into every detail of this event.  The chose a remote resort in Sedona Arizona to host their intimate ceremony and reception.    I love the way her bouquet turned out.  The coral ranunculus were so beautiful, and really added just the right touches.  Photography by the amazing Andrew and Jade

Zach & Ashlynn

I was SO excited about this wedding, not only because Ashlynn has amazing taste and vision, but because she is my cousin.  How wonderful to work with someone that I love dearly.  Making her special day magical was delightful.

Ash wanted everything in all greenery.  She wanted a really botanical feel, which is so perfect.  She started out by securing an amazing backyard as her venue.  The backyard was lined with mature pecan trees, and lush green grass.  She had rows of long tables with linens.  We did simple tree vines down the centers.  She wanted a large head table with a big backdrop.  Her dad build the wooden structure, and then we came in and did the greenery installation.  The table just had simple bud vases with ferns.

She wanted something wild and crazy for her bouquet.  It matched her event so well, and looked amazing with her form fitting gown.

Every detail was perfect!
